Madurai: People without COVID-19 Vaccination certificate will not be allowed public place In madurai District Collector from December 13 Dr S Anish Shekhar Said on Friday.
The Collector held a meeting with the stakeholders of various establishments including commercial establishments on Friday. He said that under the Public Health Act 1939, Kovid-19 has been declared as a contagious disease. Therefore, keeping in mind the safety of the public, vaccination certificate will be made mandatory in all public places including markets, theatres, leisure places, schools, colleges, playgrounds, eateries, hotels, lodges, bars, omnibus, industries, factories. . Shops, temples and commercial establishments.
Commercial establishments have been asked to maintain a registry with details of vaccination of people visiting the shops. The collector said that if people come to the shops without vaccination, the shopkeepers can take them to the nearest vaccination center and allow them to enter after getting vaccinated.
The Collector said that teams of officers of various departments would be constituted to check the implementation of these rules. The collector said that those who need their vaccine certificates can get them downloaded free of cost at the nearest e-Seva Kendra.
It does not apply to people under the age of 18 who have just started their vaccination.
