Chief Minister Dhami, who reviewed the situation in Nainital on Tuesday evening, informed that many parts of the district have been cut off for road traffic. Due to excessive rain, the road in Golapar area of Kathgodam got washed away in the river. Train movement has also been affected in Kathgodam. Many trains have either been canceled or terminated before their final destination.
The Chief Minister directed the officials to ensure speedy movement of traffic on the highways blocked due to heavy rains and landslides. He said that special precautions should be taken where there is heavy rain. The Chief Minister has been taking continuous updates from all the District Magistrates since Tuesday morning.
