The Uttarakhand government on Monday extended the ongoing COVID-induced curfew in the state till October 5. The restrictions have been increased in view of the coronavirus situation.

According to the new order, the Kovid curfew will be applicable from 6 am on September 21 and will remain in force till October 5.

During the previous relaxation, marriage ceremonies were allowed with 50% capacity of the hall or venue with permission from the district administration.

Attendees with a certificate of complete vaccination need not show a COVID negative report. Those without certificates must mandatorily show a negative report which is not more than 72 hours old.

Government offices were allowed to function with 100% capacity. Shops and commercial establishments in the state were also allowed to open six days a week from 8 am to 9 pm. Water parks were allowed to open with 50 percent capacity.
