The Uttarakhand government on Monday extended the ongoing COVID 19 curfew from 6 am on September 14 to 6 am on September 21, officials said.

As per the latest guidelines, marriage ceremonies are permitted with 50% capacity of the hall or venue with the permission of the district administration. Attendees with a certificate of complete vaccination need not show a COVID negative report. Those without certificates must mandatorily show a negative report which is not more than 72 hours old.

During the previous relaxation, government offices were allowed to function with 100 per cent capacity. Shops and commercial establishments in the state were also allowed to open six days a week from 8 am to 9 pm. Water parks were allowed to open with 50 percent capacity.
