Kanpur: State’s first Intelligent Parking lots with the joint efforts of Smart City Kanpur Limited and Kanpur Nagar Nigam It was inaugurated on Wednesday near Kargil Park in the city.
Smart City Kanpur Limited Has invested around Rs 14 crore in this project and is developing 42 more sites like smart parking sites.
Divisional Commissioner Raj Shekhar said that the first site of the state’s project, which started near Kargil Park on Wednesday, is the pilot test project.
He said that a total of 42 more such places with parking facilities for four wheelers and two wheelers would be developed.
The parking lots are equipped with hi-tech such as sensor based parking lots, POS machine based handheld ticket machines, QR code based ticket fee calculation systems and LED display systems for parking vacancy information, he said and added, “In addition 43 complete systems of associated with sites unified command and Control Center of Smart City (ICCC) at Municipal Corporation Office.
Daily and real-time information will be collected and disseminated from ICCC for efficient management, he added.
