In a horrific incident, a three-year-old girl died after her house caught fire in a village in Uttar Pradesh, police said on Saturday.

According to the police, the thatched roof of his house caught fire.

Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Samar Bahadur Singh said, “The fire broke out in the thatched house of Rambabu, a resident of Bahadurpur village. Rambabu’s three-year-old daughter Nandini was sleeping under the thatched roof.”

Neighbors rushed to extinguish the fire but by the time the fire was brought under control, the girl child and a cow tied nearby were burnt to death. The girl’s body has been sent for postmortem.

Earlier, at least 14 people were killed and several others injured in a massive fire that broke out in a multi-storey building in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district on Tuesday.

The fire broke out around 6 pm at Ashirwad Tower in Jorphatak area of ​​Dhanbad, about 160 km from state capital Ranchi.
