The UP Board administration had earlier announced the dates of Holi holiday on March 7 and 8. Nevertheless, in view of the huge demand, the government has also declared a holiday on March 9.

Uttar Pradesh (UP) Basic Education The council has declared a holiday on Thursday, March 9, on the occasion of Holi Purnima. As per the instructions, every school affiliated to Uttar Pradesh Basic Shiksha Parishad or Recognized Basic School will remain closed on March 9 on account of the festival.

The administration had earlier declared the date of Holi holiday on March 7 and 8. Nevertheless, in view of the huge demand, the government has also declared a holiday on March 9. A notification related to the matter has also been issued by the UP Basic Education Department.

Announcing this through a tweet, the Basic Education Department of Uttar Pradesh wrote, “Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council schools will have a holiday on March 9, 2023, on the occasion of Holi.”

Holi 2023 is being celebrated in Maharashtra on 6 March and today on 7 March. But apart from Maharashtra, the rest of the country will celebrate Holi on 8 March.

The Class 10th and 12th examinations of the Uttar Pradesh Board were completed on March 3 and 4. UP Board Class 10th and 12th results are likely to be declared in May. However, the officials have not made any public announcement regarding the exact date of the results.

This year with strict supervision and punishment, Uttar Pradesh Police caught many teams Who used to cheat during the UP board exams. The UP Police had caught 65 copycats across the state in February. A total of 34 students were detained for cheating during the UP Board Exam 2023. According to board secretary Divyakant Shukla, about 50 per cent of these copycats were caught by the UP police from Ghazipur and Ballia districts.
