Greater Noida: A Class IX girl who was going to her school on a bicycle along with her two sisters was allegedly thrown to the ground by a 22-year-old man from their village on Friday morning. He also tried to strangle her.

According to the police, the incident took place around 7.30 am on Friday when the three sisters were going on a bicycle towards their school in Bulandshahr district.

Bhati allegedly pushed one of the 14-year-old sisters – a class IX student – kicking her cycle and slamming it to the ground.
Dankaur SHO Arvind Pathak told TOI, “The girl alleged that she was slapped by a youth, who tried to strangle her, causing minor injuries.”
The girls alleged that they knew the accused and that he was a famous “drug addict”.
On receiving the information, the families of the girls reached the Dankaur police station and lodged a complaint against the accused.
Pathak told that the accused Kapil has been arrested. An FIR has been registered against him under IPC sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 354 (assault or criminal force to outrage woman’s modesty) and section 7/8 of the POCSO Act.
The accused reportedly told the police that he beat up the teenager because they were “laughing” at her.
