“The accused Mahendra was arrested on Wednesday from a place near his village in Jewar. He was picked up by a joint team of Jewar police. special operations group and SWAT,” a police spokesman said.
“Another person has already been arrested and sent to jail, in the wake of this incident, a reward of Rs 25,000 was announced for giving information about Mahendra’s arrest,” he said.
An FIR has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections 376D (gang rape), 352 (assault or criminal force other than grievous provocation) and 506 (criminal intimidation) in connection with the incident, police said.

According to the police, Mahendra was booked for entering the house and burglary in the past as well.
