“The hospital is crowded with patients suffering from fever. Dengue has claimed the lives of hundreds of children in western UP districts. Now it is spreading in the eastern parts of the state. In Lucknow too, the increasing number of patients in hospitals is creating a situation of crisis. This is mainly because the stock of essential medicines has dried up and patients are being turned away from hospitals,” Akhilesh said.
The former CM of UP said that the situation is bad especially in Firozabad, Mathura. MainpuriKanpur and Farrukhabad where there is panic among people due to fever. “Mothers who have lost their children are truths that cannot be hidden under propaganda campaigns highlighting the achievements of the government. In Mathura, a man fell at the feet of government officials to get his sick child treated in a hospital. Another physically challenged woman was shown the door when she reached the hospital staff with her ailing child,” said Akhilesh.
