Nithin, Nabha Natesh, Tamannaah Bhatia and Jisshu Sengupta are all set with the Telugu remake of Hindi blockbuster Andhadhun, and the trailer looks promising in every way. While the Hindi film reveals in the climax that the protagonist played by Ayushmann Khurrana was not actually blind, here in Maestro, the trailer plays your mind instead. The trailer begins to show Nitin as a blind man who faces difficulties in his daily activities. He is also a piano artist, creating beautiful musical pieces. Later he meets Nabha Natesh, who is playing the role of his girlfriend. The trailer soon turns loud with Tamannaah Bhatia’s entry. While Nithin and Tamannaah are seen mingling with each other, in a fascinating moment, Tamannaah is seen throwing a corpse from her balcony – and Nithin sees it. From them onwards, questions begin to arise over his blindness – by his girlfriend, played by Jisshu Sengupta, by the police inspector.
While Nitin is sometimes seen not reacting to the impulsive actions taken against him to test his eyesight, all other times he can be seen acting like a normal person with eyes closed – he One can name the poster on the back of an auto rickshaw, he can stare at people, and so on. Even though the film was slated for a theatrical release, the makers changed their decision following the massive spread of the COVID-19 virus. The black comedy crime thriller, directed by Merlapaka Gandhi and originally written by Sriram Raghavan, will have a direct OTT release on Disney+ Hotstar. The makers have not yet announced the release date.
