Twitter CEO Elon Musk clarified on Wednesday that users will still see tweets from people they directly follow in the ‘For You’ tab.

After saying that only verified accounts will be allowed to appear in ‘For You recommendations’, Twitter CEO Elon Musk clarified on Wednesday that users will still see tweets from people they follow directly in the ‘For You’ tab.

Musk tweeted: “Forgot to mention that the accounts you follow directly will also be yours, since you explicitly asked for them.”

Many users expressed their views on Musk’s post.

While one user said, “There’s already a tab for that, it’s called Following. And as you’d expect, it shows you tweets from accounts you follow.”

Another commented, “Just show me the best tweets, not the paid ones. This is the core of the product.”

The tech billionaire had said on Tuesday that only verified accounts would be allowed to appear in ‘For You Recommendations’ starting April 15.

Meanwhile, Musk said on Monday that paid verification increases the cost of bots by 10,000 percent and that bots are too easy to identify by phone, so paid accounts will be the only social media that matter.
