The robbery of Rs 16.19 lakh that took place at Union Bank of India (UBI) in Hisar, Haryana on 18 April was planned 3 days back on 15 April. Naveen hired a Brezza vehicle from Zirakpur after the back robbery was planned. The robbery was committed by riding in this. The miscreants had removed the front number plate, but the rear number plate was there. After the robbery, the police had targeted around 100 Brezza vehicles seen in CCTV cameras in Hisar city.
It has been told that the police while tracing a Brezza vehicle reached the agency in Zirakpur where the vehicle was given on rent. Naveen, who came there to collect the car in the CCTV footage, wore the same clothes that day, which he was wearing at the time of the robbery in the bank. Police was able to gather solid clues about the robbers with the help of vehicle number, clothes and CCTV footage. Then one after the other the five were nabbed from different places. At present, out of the amount of Rs 16.19 lakh looted from the miscreants, only Rs 2.40 lakh and the gun of the bank guard have been recovered. Now the police will try to recover the remaining amount of loot and other weapons used in the crime during the eight-day remand.
The plan was prepared on 15 April
It has come to the fore that Soni Chhaba, a gold medalist player in the Junior Commonwealth Games in Judo, is originally from village Nangthala in Hisar and was currently living in Jawahar Nagar in the city. He had chosen Union Bank for the robbery. Reiki was done for several days. After this, on 15 April, the five gathered in Hisar and finalized the plan. Under the plan, Naveen, Sonu, Pradeep and Vikas had to enter the bank and Soni Chhaba had to support them by staying outside. Apart from Brezza, he was traveling in a different vehicle.

After returning the car, Naveen also went to Ahmedabad. He had worked in a pan masala company here and few people knew him there. But he returned there after 5 days to Hisar, so that it seemed that he was in Ahmedabad and not Hisar.
Two arrested from Ambala
Police have arrested Soni, Naveen and Pradeep from near GJU in Hisar. While Vikas and Sonu were apprehended from Ambala. Vikas has done hotel management course. Meanwhile, ITBP constable and Junior Commonwealth Games gold medalist judo player Soni Chhaba remained in Hisar. At present his duty was in ITBP Camp Delhi. He had come home on leave.
