Saurabh Netravalkar impressed everyone with bowling performances in the T20 World Cup 2024 for the USA and played a big role in his team’s qualification to the Super 8 stage.

In a video that is now going viral on the internet, the 32-year-old can also be heard singing the holy prayer song ‘Om Gan Ganpataye Namo Namah’.

“Wishing everyone celebrating a very Happy Ganesh Chaturthi! Positive vibes to everyone!” the American bowler wrote in the post.

The American bowler also played a ukulele as he continued singing in the video. Fans were elated by Netravalkar’s latest post on the Meta platform. Many flocked to the comments section to pour down their reactions. One of them wrote, “You are a multitasker, bro!”

“Wish I had half the talent that you have, man.!!” said one more.

Netravalkar isn’t the only foreign cricketer who celebrated the holy festival of Ganesh Chaturthi. Bangladesh wicketkeeper-batter Litton Das also shared pictures of himself and his family members celebrating the Hindu festival on September 8.

“May Lord Ganesha bestow you with power, destroy your sorrows, and enhance happiness in your life. Happy Ganesh Chaturthi!” he wrote.

Mumbai-born Netravalkar, who has also played one Ranji Trophy match for the domestic giants in the 2013-14 season against Karnataka in Bengaluru, was one of the top performers in the T20 World Cup 2024, which was played in the West Indies and USA from June 1 to 29. In six matches for the USA team, the left-arm pacer picked up six wickets.

He first made headlines for his brilliant bowling performance in the super over of the match played between Pakistan and the USA in Dallas on June 6, and then in the next match played against India in New York on June 12, he dismissed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.

He played a major role in the USA’s historic win over Pakistan in the T20 World Cup 2024 and also helped his side qualify for the Super 8s.

After the T20 World Cup 2024, he played in the second season of Major League Cricket (MLC) for the Washington Freedom and finished as the leading wicket-taker. In seven matches for the Steve Smith-led side, he dismissed 15 batters.
