Urfi Javed on rumors of being linked to Javed Akhtar: ‘This is done to troll him and humiliate his name’

Trolls online have called Bigg Boss OTT contestant Urfi Javed as Shabana Azmi and Javed Akhtar’s granddaughter and are mocking her for the revealing airport look. As the matter escalated, Akhtar’s wife and actress Shabana Azmi came forward and clarified it on her official Twitter handle. She said that Urfi is not related to them. In a tweet, the veteran actress wrote, “Urfi Javed has nothing to do with us in any way.” Now Urfi has also broken her silence on this matter and has clarified that she is not associated with Javed Akhtar in any way.

In an interview to TOI, Urfi said, “People have made up stories just because my full name is Urfi Javed. But he was never associated with me. All this was just trolling him and adding my name to his name. The outfit disputes with her. But how is it relevant? Even though their own granddaughter wears anything of her choice, what’s wrong with that? Why is she being held responsible?”

The 24-year-old was seen in a denim crop jacket paired with a bralette and blue jeans. Netizens slammed her, calling her a publicity stunt. Giving a befitting reply to all the trollers, he posted the same picture from different angles on his social media.

Urfi Javed was last seen in Bigg Boss OTT and entertained everyone with his comedic side. She was the first contestant to be eliminated from the show. He had no relation in the house as his partner Zeeshan Khan had chosen Divya Agarwal over him to have a relationship.
