UPTET 2021: Over 18 lakh candidates appear for UPTET exam 2021, CM Yogi calls it a ‘success’

New Delhi: Putting to rest all speculations amid rising cases of Coronavirus, Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (UP TET) was conducted yesterday i.e. on Sunday, 23 January. The exam was conducted following all the COVID-19 guidelines and in large numbers. Candidates participated in the examination. However, out of the total registered candidates, the number of candidates who appeared for the exam was definitely less. Now that the examination is over, candidates are waiting for the result so that the process of recruitment to the posts of teachers in Uttar Pradesh can proceed.

No. of Registered Candidates

A total of 21,65,179 candidates had registered in both the shifts of the UPTET exam held on Sunday during the Corona virus period. Out of this, only 18,22,112 candidates appeared for the examination. 10,73,302 candidates appeared in the primary level examination while 7,48,810 candidates appeared in the upper primary level examination.

CM Yogi congratulated everyone on the successful conduct of the examination. Earlier, on November 28, 2021, the UPTET exam was postponed due to the paper leak.

As many as 1,62,511 Room Inspectors, 8,530 Supervisors, 1,423 Mobile Teams, 5,814 Class III and 14,059 Class IV employees appeared in the examination.

On the other hand, the candidates who appeared for the examination said that the paper was easier than expected. However, many candidates were scared due to Corona.

All the candidates said, now the UPTET is over, the government should release its result as soon as possible and start the teacher recruitment process. So it can be said that now the candidates are waiting for the result so that they can be appointed on the posts of teachers in UP.
