UPSC Results 2022: UP Boy Secures 512 Rank While Doing Full-time Job

The announcement of UPSC 2022 result has also brought forth many inspiring stories of dedication and perseverance. A total of 933 candidates have been successful in the UPSC Civil Services Exam 2022. Mohit Kumar of Pooth Khas village in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh has made his family and village proud after securing 512th rank in one of the toughest exams in the country.

Mohit Kumar’s grandfather used to make pottery in Puth Khas village, while his father Pitam Singh does a private job and his mother Kusumlata is a homemaker. Despite the unavailability of resources, Mohit Kumar managed to crack the UPSC exam while working a full-time job. He passed the exam after eight attempts. Earlier, Mohit was successful in passing the UPSC mains exam three times.

Earlier he had worked as Deputy Jailor in Mainpuri District Jail after passing the government job exam in March 2023.

While talking to the media, Mohit’s father Pitam Singh revealed that his son was a very good student since childhood. Right from the beginning, his only goal was to clear UPSC and he worked very hard to achieve it. He balanced his job with preparing for civil services. Other jail officials congratulated Mohit Kumar on his impeccable achievement.

Similarly, Ishita Kishore, who secured first rank in UPSC, shared her success mantra. He cleared UPSC in his third attempt. Ishita said in an interview that discipline and the habit of continuous study are very important to succeed in UPSC.
