Lucknow: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday launched the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd.UPPCLTo provide uninterrupted power supply during Dhanteras and Diwali.
Following the instructions of the CM, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited Chairman M Devraj directed all the managing directors of discoms, chief engineers and other officers of the power department to implement the order.
He said, ‘Officers should take utmost care in their respective areas, make necessary arrangements to remove the interruptions in power supply at the local level in the shortest possible time.
Set up special control rooms at discom and district level: UPPCL
In this regard detailed guidelines have been issued to MDs of all DISCOMs to take preventive measures for maintenance of all distribution transformers, such as oil condition in changer, load balancing, checking of fuse and earthing of proper capacity etc. Be sure,” he said.
“Further it should be ensured to set up special control rooms at the discom level and at the district level. In case of unforeseen malfunction, adequate number of repair gangs should be arranged to start the power supply at the earliest. This should be checked. It should be ensured that the distribution converter is not overloaded,” said the UPPCL chairman.
