Bodies of two youths identified Shivbhole (25) and Safa Chaat village resident Rajendra alias Ravindra (23) were found inside the rice field near the village at around 11 am.
As soon as the information was received, senior police officers including SP (Pratapgarh) Satpal Antil reached the spot along with force and forensic experts and conducted investigation.
The entire village has been turned into a fort and adequate police force has been deployed to defuse the tension.
Meanwhile, the SP said, police We are investigating the matter thoroughly and four teams have also been formed to crack down on the incident. He, however, said the bodies have been sent for post-mortem to ascertain the cause of death.
He said that both the deceased were close friends and the relatives of the deceased suspect their murder. On complaint of family members FIR under section 302 Indian Penal Code An FIR has been lodged in the concerned police station.
Meanwhile, the police said that they are talking to villagers as well as family members to compile fine details. The motive behind the murder was still unknown.
The relatives claimed that both the youths had left the house on Monday morning on the call of nature and did not return. Ironically, both the dead have injury marks on their bodies. Investigation is going on.
