UP: School closed till 10th, classes of 11th-12th online, night curfew and restrictions will increase by two hours from tomorrow

In view of the increasing outbreak of Corona in the state, the state government has decided to implement many restrictions including closure of schools from Thursday. Confusion prevailed throughout the day on Wednesday regarding the mandate issued by Chief Secretary Durgashankar Mishra on Tuesday night regarding the closure of schools. Many private school managers in the capital have refused to close the schools, citing the mandate that it is only for those districts with more than 1000 active cases of Kovid. The District School Inspector of Lucknow also issued an order regarding not closing the school. By issuing a statement late in the evening, the situation was clarified that all the schools up to class 10 in the entire state have been instructed to declare holiday till January 16 and conduct online classes for class 11th-12th students.

Restrictions will increase from today
The night time corona curfew will be extended by two hours from Thursday. Till now, it was from 11 pm to 5 am, which has been increased from 10 pm to 6 am. Also, gyms, spas, cinema halls, banquet halls, restaurants will be operated with 50 percent capacity in districts where active cases of corona are more than one thousand. Not more than 100 people will be allowed to attend the wedding ceremony at a time in closed places and 50 per cent of the total capacity will be allowed in open places. Along with this, instructions have also been given to make the use of sanitizers and masks mandatory.
