A district court on Wednesday sentenced a man to death for the rape and murder of a two-year-old girl.
The Special POCSO Court judge also imposed a fine of Rs 1,40,000 on the person who hid the victim’s body after committing the act.
Prem Singh Prajapati had kidnapped the girl on July 10 when she was playing in the neighbourhood.
According to the police, Prajapati raped and killed the minor and hid the body near a pond in the village.
The police, solving the case within 11 days of the crime, arrested the guilty and filed a charge sheet against him in the court.
