UP: Income Tax Department raids the premises of Samajwadi Party MLC Pushpraj Jain. Kanpur News – Times of India

LUCKNOW/KANPUR: Around 40 premises, mostly linked to perfume makers, were searched by the Income Tax Department on Friday morning at Kanpur, Kannauj and a few other places in the National Capital Region.
IT department raided the establishments and residences of two perfume traders including SP MLC Pushpraj Jain alias Pampi JainWho launched Samajwadi perfume in Kannauj.

Sources related to the investigation said that a case of tax evasion of crores has come to the fore in the investigation.
Pushpraj Jain Pumpi is a member of the Legislative Council from the Samajwadi Party in UP.
He had launched ‘Samajwadi Itra’ or perfume last month in the presence of SP President Akhilesh Yadav ahead of the upcoming 2022 elections.
Another perfume trader from Kannauj, Mohammad Yakub, is also being raided.
The Samajwadi Party also took a dig at the BJP, alleging misuse of central agencies.

Searches were also conducted at Pushpraj Jain’s premises in Kannauj, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai and Agra.
His factory in Hathras has also been raided.
Pushpraj’s factory is located on Siktra road of Hasayan in Hathras.
Pushpraj Jain was in the news after getting treasure from Piyush Jain’s house in Kannauj and Kanpur.
When Pushpraj Jain’s name came up with Piyush Jain, he had said that he has nothing to do with Piyush Jain.
Pushpraj’s regional office is in Mumbai. Sources said that his perfume business was also spread in Gulf countries.
