UP elections: Polling at woman officer Reena Dwivedi’s booth much higher than average | Lucknow News – Times of India

LUCKNOW: Though the result will be known only on March 10, the polling booth where woman PWD officer Reena Dwivedi is on duty is already witnessing a huge turnout.

Reena Dwivedi is the officer who remains in the limelight for her good looks and fashion quotient.

Dwivedi is posted at both no. 114 (Bastiyan village in Gosainganj block in Mohanlalganj assembly constituency).

The total number of voters eligible to vote at the booth is 588 out of which 50 per cent had already cast votes till 11am.

This time Reena Dwivedi appeared clad in sleeveless black top and beige pants.

In the adjacent polling booth 113 which is situated in the same primary school building, only 26 per cent of voters of a total of 645 have come out to vote.
A total of 1233 individuals have to vote here out of which 462 have voted so far.
Overall at the Reena Dwivedi’s polling center the turnout was 37.6 per cent till 11am.
Reena was busy attending to the voters through the morning.
The overall turnout in Lucknow till 11 am was around 21 per cent while that of Mohanlalganj assembly constituency was close to 32 per cent.
Among them was Ramther, (30), a physically challenged youth who uses a bamboo stick to cover the distance.
“People in my village were talking about the woman officer. A lot of vehicles have visited our village on Wednesday. Usually, we do not see that many motor vehicles. I just wanted to vote and don’t know who the woman was at the booth.”
Another villager Ashu Verma (20) said that government officials on poll duties have come in vehicles. “And also for the first time we have seen so many scribes coming to our village,” said Verma.
He added that the condition of roads needed to be improved in Bastiyan village.
“Also we want some skill center near the village to train college graduates. No government institute is being run in the vicinity and we cannot afford the private ones,” said Verma.
