Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on Friday said that the Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections are not only to elect the state government but also to save India’s Constitution and democracy. Addressing a rally in Mau for candidates of Samajwadi Party (SP) and alliance partner Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), Yadav said the ongoing elections in the state were the biggest elections in the country so far.

Yadav also said that the BJP’s desperation to lose the election was reflected in their actions and language, and cited the example of attack on SP leader Swami Prasad Maurya and insulting SBSP chief Om Prakash Rajbhar. “Has the language and behavior of the now worried people not changed? Now you can see the defeat on their faces. They are not only disappointed, but they have started insulting the SP leaders as they have realized that the people No longer with BJP. Area.

I hope you will ensure victory of SP and alliance SBSP candidates, from whichever seat they are contesting, he said. This election is going to be the biggest election of the country. Yadav said that the people of BJP have lied to the public and this election is to remove such liars from Uttar Pradesh.

The former UP chief minister also accused the BJP and its leaders of spreading lies as he shared the stage with alliance candidates, including Abbas Ansari, son of jailed don-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari. The people of BJP are amazing. They touch the water of Maa Ganga, take a dip in it, yet they keep on telling lies. Yadav said that the BJP claims to be the largest political party in the world but no party in the world tells as much lies as the BJP does, its people do. There is no national level leader of BJP who has not come to UP for election campaign. He said that if you listen to his speeches, a small politician tells a small lie, a big leader tells a big lie and a big leader tells a big lie.

Claiming that the BJP has not made any provision of free ration to the poor since March, he said that if the SP government is formed in the state, then the poor will be given free ration for a full five years. Yadav said that apart from ration, we will also give one liter mustard oil, one kg milk, one kg ghee and sugar to the poor.

He said that the income of farmers has not doubled as promised, they are not getting fertilizer and urea, inflation has hit the people and the prices of petrol and diesel are also touching the sky. Yadav said that the inflation has increased so much that the size of Parle-G biscuits has also shrunk.

He claimed that if the BJP returned to power, the price of petrol and diesel would be Rs 200 per litre. He said that if the SP government is formed in UP, then 300 units of electricity will be given free to all and farmers will not have to pay electricity bills for irrigation.

He also announced welfare measures for the weaving community in the area to revive their work and said that if his party forms the government, it will provide them 24 hours electricity at flat rates. If need be, we will make allocation in the state budget for organizing exhibitions and marketing programs for weavers. He said that ‘Bunker Bazaars’ would be set up for weavers along the Purvanchal Expressway.

In addition, markets will be set up along the Purvanchal Expressway to ensure that farmers’ produce is procured at MSP, he said. He targeted the BJP on the issue of unemployment in the state and said that if the SP comes to power, then the recruitment of 11 lakh vacant government posts will be done expeditiously. Mau will go to polls on March 7 during the seventh and final phase of polling in Uttar Pradesh. The results of the elections will be declared on March 10.
