It is a big challenge for CM Yogi Adityanath to ensure BJP’s big victory in the assembly elections 2022. Yogi Adityanath is the youngest Chief Minister of the state after Akhilesh Yadav, who was elected at the age of 38 in Lucknow in 2012. Yogi has wide popularity among the BJP cadre, regardless of caste or social background. His initial focus was on Purvanchal, but since then he shifted his focus to ‘Hindutva causes’ in western UP, even equating Kairana to Kashmir. His tough-to-crime personality could be an advantage in a state where maintaining law and order is a major voting concern. And, he is not facing any serious corruption charges.
