The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is likely to release the first list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh today. Dhirendra Singh of Jewar, Sunil Sharma of Sahibabad, Tejpal Nagar of Dadri and others are on the list. According to Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, the BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) on Saturday scrutinized the names of candidates for 172 seats during a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
