Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Caretaker Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Saturday said people have chosen nationalism, good governance and development in the recently concluded assembly elections.
After performing ‘aarti’ during the Lord Narasimha procession here, Adityanath played Holi with colors and flower petals amidst slogans of ‘Yogi Yogi’ and ‘Jai Shri Ram’.
“This is the first time after independence that people gave victory BJP in all nine assembly seats of Gorakhpur and 27 out of 28 seats in the division. The festival gives us the message that we emerge victorious if we collectively face challenges. All of you became winners under the guidance of Prime Minister Modi in the most challenging elections. People chose nationalism, good governance and development,” he said while addressing the crowd.
“Society in which Holika And Hirankashyap (in any form), the devotee Prahlad and Lord Narasimha are also present as the victory of good over evil. The festival of colors symbolizes unity and inspires us to move forward on the path of righteousness.”
According to Hindu mythology, Hiranakashyap, a tyrant, was killed by Narasimha, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu.
Describing the efforts of the Center and the Uttar Pradesh government to fight hunger and malnutrition during the COVID-19 pandemic, Adityanath said, “The double engine government has not made any donations, but has only done its duty by giving free ration to 80 crores. has been discharged. people in the country and 15 crore people in the state.
