The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is expected to release the first list of candidates for the upcoming assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh today at 12:30 pm, at a meeting of the BJP’s Central Election Committee (CEC) chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, deputy chief minister, on Saturday. According to Keshav Prasad Maurya, the names of the candidates for 172 seats were discussed.
