UP Board exam with Ramzan, Ram Navami, Section 144 implemented in Noida

Ahead of the upcoming festivals and exams, Uttar Pradesh authorities have imposed Section 144 in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddh Nagar district (Noida), prohibiting the gathering of four or more people in a public place. The restrictions have been imposed from April 1 to April 30. The authorities have also issued more guidelines on the same for students and citizens.

Section 144 is applicable in view of Ramzan, Ramnavmi, Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti, and High School/Inter examinations.

As per the freshly issued guidelines, people will have to follow all the COVID-19 guidelines while in a public place. No protest or demonstration can be held in the area under Section 144. It further states that no person shall gather within a distance of 200 yards from the examination centre. Also, not more than five people can gather near the examination centers.

The candidates appearing for the examination are asked not to carry mobile phones, pagers, calculators or modern equipment inside the examination center premises without permission and no person shall be allowed to enter the examination center a day before the day of examination. will not be allowed.

“Section 144 CrPC will be implemented in the district from 1st to 30th April in view of the upcoming festivals of Ramzan, Ramnavmi, Ambedkar Jayanti and High School/Inter examinations and General Legislative Council elections 2022 etc”, Commissioner of Police Gautam Buddha Nagar said in a statement. said in the statement.

The districts where examinations were canceled include Agra, Mainpuri, Mathura, Aligarh, Ghaziabad, Baghpat, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Unnao, Sitapur, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Chitrakoot, Jalaun, Ambedkar Nagar, Pratapgarh, Gonda, Gorakhpur, Azamgarh, Ballia, Varanasi, Kanpur Dehat, Etah, and Shamli. Apart from these districts, the examinations were conducted smoothly in the rest of the districts.

The exam will be conducted again. Revised dates are yet to be announced. More than 52 lakh students had registered for the UP Board 10th, 12th Board Exam 2022. The exams are being conducted in offline mode amid COVID-19 precautions.
