BJP’s 334 block president elected unopposed
BJP has made a huge lead in the election of Kshetra Panchayat President. BJP’s 334 candidates have been elected unopposed as block chiefs. The party has made preparations to get elected presidents in more than 650 out of 825 Kshetra Panchayats of the state in the elections to be held on Saturday.

Result will be declared after counting of votes
State Election Commission Commissioner Manoj Kumar said that after withdrawal of nominations, 349 Kshetra Panchayat Presidents have been declared elected unopposed. He said that there would be a contest between 1,174 candidates for the post of President in 476 Kshetra Panchayats. Voting will be held on Saturday from 11 am to 3 pm. The result will be declared after counting of votes.

UP Block Chief Elections: Polling in 476 Panchayats from 11 am to 3 pm, results will be declared today
Voting will be held today for the post of President in 476 Kshetra Panchayats of Uttar Pradesh. On Friday, the last day of withdrawal of nominations, 349 Kshetra Panchayat Presidents were elected unopposed. The State Election Commission has given instructions to maintain law and order during the polling to be held on Saturday. A total of 1778 candidates had filed nominations for the election of the President in 825 Kshetra Panchayats. After scrutiny of nomination papers, nominations of 68 candidates were canceled. Till Friday, only one candidate had filed nomination in 289 Kshetra Panchayats. A total of 187 candidates withdrew their nominations till 3 pm on the last day of withdrawal of nominations.
