MuzaffarnagarA court here has sentenced a man to six months in jail for selling adulterated milk, 32 years after his complaint was filed. Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate Prashant Kumar on Thursday convicted the accused milk seller Harbir Singh in the case and also imposed a fine of Rs 5,000 on him.
Prosecuting officer Ramavtar Singh told PTI on Friday that Harbir Singh was found selling adulterated milk. The prosecuting officer said that a sample of the milk sold by him was collected and sent to the laboratory where it was found to be adulterated.
Ramavtar Singh said that on April 21, 1990, Food Inspector Suresh Chand had filed a complaint in the court against the milk seller.
