The University of Oklahoma said Friday that police were investigating a possible shooting on its Norman campus and that a shelter in place had been activated.
In a post on the university’s social media accounts, officials said there was a report of an active shooter at Van Fleet Oval, a street in the center of campus.
The school urged people in a tweet to “avoid the South Oval area. Shelter in place.”
