Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya reviews health facilities set-up for Amarnath yatra

New Delhi: Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare reviewed the provision of health services and adequate quality health facilities for the devotees going on Amarnath Yatra with senior officials of Health Ministry and DGHS.

They were briefed about the medical care and other health facilities being provided at the base camp and en route. Union Health Minister directs officials to support the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir to ensure that necessary health facilities and medical services are provided to the yatris so that they remain in good health and physical condition to undertake the arduous journey . “It will be ensured that the best health services and medical facilities are provided to the devotees during the yatra,” the minister said.

The Amarnath Yatra is exceptional in terms of geo-climatic challenges, especially issues related to altitude. As per the directions of the Union Health Minister, the Health Ministry is assisting the UT Govt. Govt of J&K with health care arrangements for travel in an effort to augment and anticipate adequate health needs.
