On December 6, 1992, as soon as the structure collapsed, Kalyan Singh himself resigned by writing his resignation, but he never regretted the demolition of the structure in his life. He told an anecdote while addressing a public meeting after the demolition of the structure. Kalyan had told that on 6 December 1992, the Union Home Minister called him. Said- There is information that the kar sevaks have climbed the dome? I replied to them that I have information a step ahead that they have started breaking the dome.
When the Supreme Court’s decision on the construction of Ram temple came in 2019, in an interview given to a channel, he had said that neither was there then, nor is there any regret about the demolition of the structure. I am so happy with the decision to build Ram Mandir that now I will be able to die in peace.

1. The structure was there.. if it fell, then the price was also paid
I object to the fact that people call it Babri Masjid. It was a framework. Ayodhya is the birthplace of Rama. The incident which happened on 6th December 1992 was not pre-planned. For a long time the sentiments of crores of Hindus were crushed. It was a spontaneous explosion in his reaction. When the incident happened, I took the responsibility on myself. Why should I blame someone else? I take full responsibility for what happened. When the structure went, its price was paid. Resigned from the post of Chief Minister. Will anyone else take our lives now? If the government will have to sacrifice 10 times for the sake of building Ram temple, then we are ready. This is a question of national pride.

2. Demolition of the structure is not a matter of national shame, but a matter of national pride
There is no structure left, I am not sorry for that. I have no remorse for this, nor do I feel any sorrow. What happened was the desire of Ram Mandir. After breaking up, people say that it is a matter of national shame. I say it is a matter of national pride. I resigned after the structure collapsed.

3. I am proud that I did not take the life of even a single kar sevak
On 6 December 1992, I received a note from the district administration. It was written in it that we have got four battalions to protect the structure, but they are not able to reach the structure in Ayodhya. A crowd of 3 lakh people has stopped the force near Saket College. I ordered in writing not to shoot. Other than shooting, other measures should be taken. The bullet will not work. Kar sevaks came from all over the country. Thousands of people would be killed. I am proud that I have not taken the life of even a single kar sevak.

4. Like 15th August, 26th January, 5th August 2020 will also be recorded in history.
When the history is written, the date of August 5, 2020 will also be indelible like 15 August, 26 January. On this day Bhoomi Pujan for Ram Mandir took place. It will also be written in the same page that on 6th December the structure was gone. With the structure the government was also gone. My life’s aspiration was that Ram Mandir should be built. As soon as the temple is built, I will leave the world with great peace.
