Under-17 Indian women’s team

Along with the much-awaited FIFA World Cup, it is also the year of the Under-17 Women’s World Cup. The women’s team is all set to fly to Italy and Norway and will compete in two tournaments in preparation for the mega event. The women will play two tournaments in their Exposure Tour. The Torneo women’s football tournament will start from 22-26 June and the Open Nordic tournament WU16 in Norway is scheduled to start from 1-17 July. This is the first time that the Indian team is participating in the Nordic tournament.

This sight will be seen on June 22 when India will face Italy. Along with India, countries like Chile, Italy and Mexico will participate in this event. The open Nordic tournament WU16 will see eight teams compete against each other including Netherlands, India, Norway, Iceland, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland and Sweden, said a press release issued by the All India Football Federation. A total of 23 players have been selected by head coach Thomas Dennerby, who took charge of the team earlier this year.
