Varun Gandhi tweeted on 18 February. The tweet was related to industrialists fleeing abroad with loans and suicides taking place every day in the country. For his government, he wrote words like ‘strong government’ and ‘strong action’.

Varun is criticizing his own party’s decisions. Not active in party promotion. He also stays away from CM Yogi’s rally organized in his district. Union Minister Ajay Mishra is openly opposing Teni. On February 14, posting the auction of people’s jewelry for not repaying the gold loan, he asked whether this is the vision of building a new India?

Varun Gandhi never posted a photo with Yogi in the last five years. After all, what is the reason for this, why is the BJP not getting fed up with Varun’s taunt? Let us tell you everything one by one. First know about Varun’s political entry…

Varun’s entry as a hardcore Hindutva leader
Varun was giving a speech in Pilibhit just before the 2014 Lok Sabha elections. He was saying, “If anyone extends a hand to the Hindus or thinks that the Hindus are without leadership, I swear by the Gita that I will cut off that hand.”

At the same rally, he said, “I consider it foolish that if someone slaps you on your cheek, then you put the other cheek forward. Cut off his hand so that he can attack someone else.” Couldn’t even raise his hand.” Two things happened after this statement. First- Varun became popular. Second, the Election Commission issued a notice.

Popularity increased, but high command angry
Due to his statements, Varun was becoming popular in the whole of Uttar Pradesh including western UP, Rohilkhand. Meanwhile, the party made him in-charge of Bengal. In 2014, he became the MP of Sultanpur by winning the election by 1.78 lakh votes. Didn’t get away with controversial statements. Let us tell something further, before that see some of their statements.

  • The PM had a successful rally in Kolkata but Varun said the next day, the rally failed.
  • In 2014, when Modi-Modi slogans were raised below the stage, Varun scolded him and said, what is this Modi-Modi?
  • Young people get less chance to join BJP as compared to other parties. (February 2015)
  • BJP has failed to develop minorities, discrimination is being done in the recovery of loans in the country. (2017)
  • I cried after reading Rohith Vemula’s suicide note, action should be taken against the accused. (2017)

Yogi became CM in 2017 and Varun rebels
Varun posted a photo on Facebook on 9 January 2017. Received 48 thousand likes. 271 comments came. Varun was being told as the next CM in 80% of the comments. Counting took place on 11 March 2017. Yogi Adityanath was made the CM on 19 March.

Varun Gandhi had tweeted on 9 January 2017, in which 80% of the commenters were telling him to be the next CM of UP.

Five years passed, but there was not a single meeting between Varun Gandhi and Yogi. On 30 December 2021, Yogi reached Pilibhit to attend a rally. MPs from Bareilly and Shahjahanpur came, but local MP Varun Gandhi did not.

Yogi-Varun appeared in only six posters in five years
On 9 December 2017, Varun Gandhi distributed blankets in Sultanpur. The posters that were put up here had the photo of Yogi Adityanath. This was the first time after the formation of the government, that Varun and Yogi appeared together in a poster.

After this Varun posted a photo on 30 April 2018, in which he was speaking on the mic and the poster behind had a photo of Yogi Adityanath. Next photo posted on 12th April 2019 in which Yogi was present. The last photo was posted on 27 July 2021, in which CM Yogi’s photo was.

The party instructed but Varun did not make any difference.
In 2014 Varun Gandhi and his mother Maneka Gandhi won the election. Maneka was made a minister. Removed Varun from the post of party general secretary. If the government was formed in 2019, neither Varun became a minister nor Maneka Gandhi. The party also removed Varun and Maneka from the national executive. This time the name was removed from the list of star campaigners. Despite this, Varun Gandhi remained in the party and openly criticized the party’s work and decisions.

Varun said, I should have been Baba
Varun Gandhi was speaking at Semri Bazar, Jaisingh Vidhan Sabha of Sultanpur district on March 30, 2018. He said, “Life is like Gangaji, the more you go inside it, the more pure and pure you will become. The more you enter people’s chest, the more you will feel that yes brother, we have also earned in this world, I So guess I should have been Baba”.

Regarding this statement, independent journalist SK Yadav says that Varun considered himself a contender for the post of CM. The number of people who saw him as CM had also increased rapidly. He got angry with the party leaders after Yogi Adityanath was made the CM. As a result, he keeps targeting Yogi Adityanath every now and then.

Appeal to make SP candidate win
An audio of Varun went viral on 1 February 2022. He was talking to someone from Barkheda Assembly. During this, he accused BJP candidate Jayadrath alias Swami Spokesperson of being sold and said to vote in favor of SP candidate Hemraj Verma.

Speak directly against the Union Minister
Dainik Bhaskar interviewed Varun in the first week of February. Talking about the farmers’ agitation and the Lakhimpur incident, Varun said, “The resignation of the Union Minister of State for Home (Ajay Mishra Teni) has not happened till date, what is the central government trying to prove by giving him protection. If the government talks about farmers again. If unheard, the movement will start again.”

Where will Varun be in the next few years?
On 5 January 2022, journalist Narendra Nath Mishra did an interview of Varun, asking how do you want to see yourself in the next few years, Varun replied, “As the public would like.”
