“We still stand by that. Shaista Parveen will be expelled from the party if the allegation is proved.”
Singh said that BSP never compromises in the matter of crime.
Questioning the move to arrest Parveen on the basis of her picture with a criminal, Singh said that recently a picture of a shooter along with Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav had also appeared in the media.

Atiq, currently lodged in a Gujarat jail, is the main accused in the 2005 murder of BSP MLA Raju Pal. Atiq, his brother Ashraf and wife were booked in connection with the murder of Umesh Pal, the prime witness in the Raju Pal murder case.
