KYIV: Ukrainian actress Oksana Shvets has been killed in a Russian rocket attack on a residential building Kyiv,
Confirming Oksana’s death, her troupe, the Young Theater, issued a statement which read, “During the rocket fire of a residential building in Kyiv, Ukraine Oksana Shvetso was killed.”
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Oksana was 67 years old. He was awarded one of Ukraine’s highest artistic honours, the title roughly translated as ‘Honored Artist of Ukraine’.
On 24 February, Russia launched a military operation in Ukraine, responding to calls for help from the separate republics of Donetsk and Luhansk in countering the aggression of Ukrainian troops.
Russian Defense Ministry Said the special operation is targeting only Ukrainian military infrastructure. according to United Nations Office High Commissioner for Human Rights, nearly 600 civilians have been killed and over 1,000 injured Ukraine since the beginning of the conflict.
