UGC NET 2023 will be conducted from June 13 to 22 for June 2023 cycle. This comes after UGC NET December 2022 cycle registration begins on December 29
UGC Chairman M Jagadesh Kumar has announced that the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) 2023 for June 2023 cycle will be conducted from June 13 to 22. This comes after the UGC NET December 2022 cycle registration began on December 29 and the exam will be conducted from February 21 to March 10.
Now, UGC has also announced the dates for the June 2023 cycle of UGC NET. “UGC NET Dates for June 2023 Cycle Released: UGC NET is conducted twice every year by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in June and December every year. It is informed to the prospective applicants that the first UGC NET June 2023 cycle will be conducted from 13th to 22nd June 2023. For further clarification and latest updates regarding exam dates and other information, candidates are advised to visit the respective website and above mentioned examinations,” tweeted Kumar.

UGC NET 2022 was conducted in four phases from July to October. The exam was held for the combined cycle of December 2021 and June 2022. The December and June cycles were merged as the December 2021 exam was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Hence NTA decided to combine December 2021 and June 2022 cycles to reduce the impact on the candidates and make the exam cycle more consistent.
As per the UGC NET cut-off 2022 notice, the minimum qualifying marks for general category is 40 per cent and for reserved category is 35 per cent. The total number of slots will be divided into different categories based on the reservation scheme of the Government of India. UGC NET is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian citizens for Assistant Professor and Junior Research Fellowship posts in universities and colleges.
