Udaipur tailor’s bedding Shri Ram Sena leader Pramod Muthalik on Wednesday condemned the brutal murder of a tailor in Udaipur. He also said that Hindu society would not tolerate such acts of terror, and announced “I am Kanhaiya Lal”, and “I am Nupur Sharma supporter” campaigns on behalf of Hindu organisations.
“… blood is boiling, Hindu society is angry, they have not only killed Kanhaiya Lal but are provoking Hindu society by killing it… This is too much, central government should intervene as they threatened PM Modi Also, and it should be ensured that the people behind the incident are hanged,” Mutalik demanded.
“Yuva Brigade”, “Hindu Jan Jagruti Samiti”, “Shri Ram Sena” and other Hindu organizations will launch a big campaign from Thursday to “I am Kanhaiya Lal” and “I am Nupur Sharma supporter”, he said.
In Rajasthan’s Udaipur, two men with a cleaver killed a tailor Lal on Tuesday and posted online videos saying they were avenging insults to Islam, drawing widespread condemnation with the brutal murder. Two people, identified as Riyaz Akhtari and Ghaus Mohammad, have been arrested for the murder.
In a video clip, Akhtari announced that he beheaded the man and threatened Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Indirectly, the attackers also mentioned BJP leader Nupur Sharma, who was suspended from the party over a controversial remark on Prophet Mohammad.
Lal was recently arrested by the local police over some comments made by him on social media. Several state BJP leaders and ministers condemned the killing and demanded strict punishment for the killers.
