UAE launches biometric service at Abu Dhabi airport, passenger’s face to act as boarding pass

The UAE on Monday launched a biometric service at Abu Dhabi airport that will no longer require a passport or ticket and a passenger’s boarding pass will bear his or her face, Khaleej Times reported. The solutions will be implemented at select self-service baggage touchpoints, immigration e-gates and boarding gates and then across all passenger touchpoints at the airport.
