Two West Indies players fainted on the field in T20 against Pakistan, match continues

Both the incidents happened within a span of 10 minutes after which two players of the home team were taken to the hospital. According to a Cricket West Indies (CWI) spokesperson, both are “conscious and stable”. The reason for their downfall is still unknown.

“Chinell Henry and Chadian Nation were taken to hospital for treatment,” CWI said in a statement. “Both Henry and Nation are alert and stable at the hospital and are being assessed.”

The more surprising factor was that the match continued as West Indies Women brought up two substitutes and the home side eventually declared the winner by seven runs at Duckworth-Lewis-Stern after another interruption.

Following this setback, West Indies Women defeated Pakistan Women by seven runs in the second T20 International. Batting first, Windies scored 125/6. Wicketkeeper Keyshia Knight scored 30 runs in 20 balls for the hosts. Fatima Sana was the bowler’s choice for Pakistan and returned with figures of 2/18 in her four overs. Chasing, Pakistan could manage only 103/6 in 18 overs. Nida Dar scored 29 runs in 39 balls.
