Two people thrashed for raising pro-Pakistan slogans in Telangana’s Adilabad

Two people were thrashed for allegedly shouting pro-Pakistan slogans while watching the movie The Kashmir Files at a theater in Telangana’s Adilabad district. Two persons were thrashed by a section of the audience after they allegedly raised slogans of Pakistan Zindabad inside Natraj Theater in Bhuktapur area during the screening of the controversial film on March 18.

After the incident, the cinema staff called the police to control the situation. However, both the sloganeering managed to escape. Police are trying to identify the accused. The police have also checked the evidence from the CCTV footage, but so far no clue has been found.

According to the police, tension prevailed in the theater for some time after the incident, but after the arrival of the police, the situation became normal. Both the accused are said to be in a state of intoxication.

Meanwhile, at the box office, The Kashmir Files has crossed the Rs 100 crore collection and is expected to reach Rs 150 crore by the end of the second week. The Kashmir Files earned Rs 19.15 crore on Holi (March 18). The total box office collection of the film has now reached Rs 138.63 crore.

The Kashmir Files was slated to release in cinemas across the world on January 26, 2022, on the occasion of India’s Republic Day. But it was postponed due to the proliferation of the Omicron version.

The film stars Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, Pallavi Joshi and Mithun Chakraborty in lead roles. The film was released in theaters on March 11. The film has been made tax free in many states ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party.
