Punjab Police has arrested two active members of Lawrence Bishnoi gang working on the instructions of Canadian-based gangster Goldie Brar. Gagandeep Singh alias Gagi and Gurpreet Singh alias Gopi were arrested in Mohali with arms and ammunition, Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Vivek Sheel Soni said on Tuesday.

Both are residents of Kingra of Dabwali in Sirsa district of Haryana. The SSP said that two pistols of 32 caliber, eight live cartridges and an SUV bearing Haryana registration number have been seized from them.

Soni said that the two gangsters were in regular contact with Godly Brar through Manpreet Singh alias Manna, who allegedly provided a car to the attackers in connection with the murder of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala and arrested him recently. went.

He said in an official statement that both the accused were acting on the instructions of Goldie Brar and were involved in illegal arms smuggling from the border areas of Punjab and Rajasthan. Soni said that acting on a tip-off, the Mohali police along with a team of Anti-Gangster Task Force launched an operation, following which the arrests were made.
