Two girls escaped from Kalam Bal Ashram built in DC Colony of Jind city of Haryana late on Monday evening by climbing a wall. Both the girls were brought a week ago. The Ashram superintendent informed the police about the girls’ escape. After this, the police team along with the officials of the Women and Child Development Department searched the surrounding area, but the girls were not found. One of the absconding girls is from Bihar and the other from Assam. Late night, the police registered a missing case of both of them.

Superintendent of Kalam Children’s Ashram Shanti Devi said that the 16-year-old girl was recovered by the Child Welfare Committee Jind on 6 September. He was released in the ashram for not revealing the address of his house. Where the team of the department was counseling this girl. Meanwhile, on September 11, a 15-year-old girl from Assam was released into the ashram. Both the girls were roaming on Monday late evening. During this, both of them escaped by jumping the wall behind the ashram, dodging the staff posted there.

Ashram superintendent told that both the girls are wearing pink suits and pink slippers. As soon as the girls were absconding, the police team led by Civil Line station in-charge Hariom reached the ashram and scrutinized the footage of the CCTV cameras installed there. Now the police is looking at the footage of the cameras installed in the surrounding area, so that it can be known which side the girls have come out. Apart from this, the police is also questioning the local people about seeing them by showing photos of both of them.
