NEW DELHI: Four people, including two doctors working at AIIMS here, were injured during a scuffle in south Delhi’s Gautam Nagar, police said on Thursday.
The incident happened on Wednesday, he said.
According to the police, some doctors All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhagat Singh Verma went to the shop of the paranthe seller in Gautam Nagar and allegedly consumed liquor there.
Atul Kumar Thakur, Deputy Commissioner of Police (South), said, “There was a heated argument between the doctors and the shopkeeper, after which both the sides thrashed each other.”
Police said that two doctors and shopkeeper Bhagat Singh Verma and his son Abhishek were injured in the incident.
The DCP said that the statements of both the parties are being recorded and legal action will be taken accordingly.
Police said that the doctor had already visited the shop.
