Twitter will soon allow you to set who can reply to tweets after they’ve been posted: Here’s how

micro blogging giants Twitter is rolling out a new feature that will let users set who can reply to their tweets after they’ve been posted. Now, while the ability to limit who can see your tweets previously existed on Twitter, users had to set that preference when composing tweets. With the new update, users can change who can reply to their tweets later. This comes as one of the company’s steps to reduce harassment on the platform. This feature will be available globally iOS, Android, and the Web, Twitter said. Let’s take a look at how users will be able to change who can reply to their tweets after posting the said tweet.

To change who can reply, users can click or tap the three-dot menu at the top right corner of any tweet and look for the “Reply to” option. There are three options users can choose from – ‘Everyone can reply,’ ‘Only people you follow can reply,’ and ‘Only people you mention can reply. Twitter introduced this feature for users to see who can reply to their tweets in 2020. The expansion of the feature comes as the company’s latest move towards making the platform a more secure place for users. Recently, Twitter showed some privacy feature. The ideas being considered to give people more control over their privacy.

Earlier this month, Twitter’s product designer, Lena Imara showed him Twitter followers are “very early concepts” that the company is exploring to make Twitter healthier. The product designer said that these are just ideas and are not being made (yet), and this is to get people’s feedback.
