Twitter users can expect new navigation features to debut in the new year, according to a statement from Elon Musk.

New navigation features will be coming to Twitter in the new year, Elon Musk announced on Saturday, as he aims to revamp the entire experience to make the platform faster.

“Twitter navigation coming in January that allows swiping to the side to switch between recommended and followed tweets, trends, topics, and more,” he said in a tweet.

“Until then, tap the star icon in the top right of the home screen to switch,” he said. Musk said switching back and forth is good.

“As we improve Twitter AI, recommended tweets, lists and topics will become awesome,” he said.

Swiping through lists on Twitter, Musk said that would happen.

A user asked him if he could also sort the people he follows by category. Musk had yet to answer this.

As promised by Twitter’s CEO, the “view counts for tweets” feature has become a hit among users.

Twitter has also updated the list of features for its Blue service, mentioning that customers paying for the $8 per month service will now receive “priority ranking in conversations”.

Blue subscribers can also upload videos up to 60 minutes long from the web in 1080p resolution and 2GB file size.

Previously, Twitter Blue subscribers were only able to upload 10 minutes of video to the platform at 1080p resolution with a file size limit of 512MB.
