After introducing the feature for iOS users in August, Twitter has now rolled out Ticket Space for Android users. For those unaware, Twitter Spaces is an audio-based chatroom that lets users gather with limited speakers and audiences to discuss almost anything. Ticketed venues will allow hosts to charge for exclusive chat rooms with celebrity or notable guests. However, the option is still limited to the US, and India-specific details are still unclear.

According to PolicyUsers must be 18 years of age and over, have a complete Twitter profile (header, bio, profile image, and more) and a verified email address. The company says past Twitter policy violators and state-affiliated media accounts cannot host ticketed locations. In addition, users must maintain 1,000 active followers and have hosted at least three Spaces sessions within the past 30 days.
“If we detect that your account may be compromised, we will temporarily disable monetization features until your account is restored,” the policy reads. Previously, the company said that hosts make most of their revenue from ticket sales and, “Twitter will keep a small amount.” It appears that the hosts have the freedom to set the ticket amount. As expected, if users do not meet the eligibility requirements, they cannot host a ticketed location session. If users are initially accepted to host a ticketed venue, but Twitter later finds errors on its side, the company will withhold users’ ability to participate.

The latest Twitter Space development comes days after Facebook a dedicated one. Presented Tabs for Live Audio Rooms – Twitter Spaces and its own version of Clubhouse-like audio chatrooms. This feature is now available for verified accounts as well as public accounts.
