Twitter is making its platform secure with this new feature

micro blogging site Twitter The platform is rolling out a new feature aimed at making it safer, and letting users flag their tweets that are deemed sensitive or themselves NSFW. This feature will allow users to mark their specific tweets as sensitive. Previously, users were required to mark their entire profile as sensitive if they regularly posted NSFW content, hiding the content behind a warning that required users to tap to view it. The new system allows users to label each of their tweets instead of the entire account. The new feature is now applicable on Android, iOSAnd the web for all Twitter users.

To add a content warning to a potentially sensitive or NSFW photo or video, users must tap a flag icon while editing the photo or video within Twitter. This will put the content behind an alert, where users will have to tap “Show” to view it, adding an extra step to access it. The new feature is based on three categories of sensitive content – nudity, violence, and a broader “sensitive” category. Users can apply multiple categories, but if users have more than one piece of media and they can only tag one. If you do, all will be automatically placed behind the warning label.
